Graham, my grandson!

Aside from the birth of my own children, the days that my grandchildren were born rank right up there as the best days of my life.  Graham Vincent came into the world quickly, in the wee hours of the morning, without much fanfare.  Unlike his sister who had a slew of relatives waiting in the waiting room (she was born in early evening), Graham came before most had even woken up.  Typical of a second child who says, "I don't need a lot of fuss about me!"   Of course his sister and I got to the hospital before the sun rose to get our first glance at him.  He is so fortunate to have such a wonderful mom and dad AND big sister.   Meet Graham!

Jessica & Theo Are Engaged!

These two are SPECIAL.  You can just feel the LOVE when you are around them.  Also, Theo happens to be my nephew . . . I have seen him grow into an incredible young man who is serving our country in the Army, and he has found a wonderful support system and partner in Jessica.  We are all so glad to welcome her into our family!  I love you both so much.

Claiborne is TWO!

She repeats everything you say.  She loves being outside, and searching for frogs and bunnies.  She enjoys jumping on her trampoline.  She snuggles with all her stuffed animals and her B (blankie).  She loves Elmo and Minnie Mouse.  And she calls me JAMMA, and her grandpa is JAMPA!  Claiborne is TWO and about to get the best present of all, a baby brother!

Beautiful mama, Tanya, has four sons and a full heart, for sure!  Each unique son made this family photo shoot so special.  Tanya and Aaron, these fine young men must make you so proud, and of course, the littlest cutie pie must keep everyone smiling.  Thanks for letting me spend the afternoon with your incredible family.  

Shelby & Jeremy - Celebrating LOVE

I love that Shelby & Jeremy have a tradition to celebrate another year of their relationship with photographs!  Of course, I was also so honored that they chose me to be the photographer to do it!!  So here is the look of LOVE!

Stephanie & Chris are ENGAGED!

I got to spend a beautiful Ocean City evening with Stephanie and Chris to celebrate their engagement!  What a joy it was, especially to have Chris's daughter join us, too.  Seeing Stephanie and her soon-to-be stepdaughter really made my heart happy.  All three are going to make a wonderful blended family!

Meet Baby Tommy

With tiny toes and a button nose . . . Tommy has arrived!.  And look at the pride and love that big brother Gus has to give his newborn baby.  Just like that the boys have a built-in best friend!

Michalski Family Beach Moments

Loving parents, three beautiful girls . . . lots of energy. . . and room to run on the beach!  My beach session with the Michalski family sure showed the fun that this family can have in the sand and sun!! and the water, too!

Two Brothers & a Four Wheeler

It's not every day that you get to ride on a four wheeler driven by an almost 4 year old!!  That is what happened on my photo shoot with Landon and baby brother Carter.  Big brother Landon showed his love for four wheeling, his adorable brother, his beautififul mom, AND his doggie.  

Victoria, a kind-hearted soul

Victoria's effervescent personality shines through in these photos.  Her smile is infectious and her kindness is just a part of who she is.  A college student studying to be a social worker - perfect career for this kind-hearted soul.  

Caryn and Justin are having a BABY!

A baby girl is arriving soon to these first time parents.  Caryn and Justin are over the moon about the upcoming birth of their child.  They bought the cutest little sandals for baby to wear after her summer birth!  All the baby love shines through with these two parents!

VanKlompenberg Family

The beautiful VanKlompenberg family and I spent some time together at Northside Park in Ocean City to document the family of three before a baby boy makes the family four! Adorable, 3 year old Gus is about to become a big brother! The smiles were abundant and the joy was so apparent!  

Baby Brynn

Beautiful complexion, head full of dark hair, and rosy lips!  Meet sweet, 9 day old Brynn!    She makes a family of three become of a family of four, and she has stolen everyone's heart!

There is nothing like watching children explore the beach. Sandy toes, sunny smiles, and THE BLUES - ocean and sky!!  Let me meet you at the beach and I will click away with my camera.  It is the perfect backdrop for the perfect family memories to be recorded in a photograph.

The Thompson Family

When your last child graduates from high school, you realize that time is fleeting.  You need to grasp every moment with your young adults.  That also means it is time for a family portrait!  I have seen the Thompson kids grow up.  As a matter of fact, I taught both of the boys in elementary school.  Such love, laughter, and family commitment is evident in this beautiful family. So Thompson kids, keep all the memories close to your heart as you jump into the next phase of your lives. And kudos to Bob and Missi for raising such a wonderful brood!!  

Celebrating Logan

Look at this beautiful, smart Stephen Decatur graduate!  Today her friends and family will celebrate Logan's accomplishments. I have seen Logan grow up as I am her neighbor, AND I was her third grade teacher!   I wish Logan great success as she moves on to Salisbury University.

A Passion for Photography

Does a passion for something run in a family?  Seems like the answer to this question is YES! Photography has always been a part of my life.   I can still hear the click - click of my mother's   35 mm camera and the crispy feel of the negatives.  And, of course, the joy of looking at the PERFECT photograph.  I remember when my mom entered one of her photographs of my infant daughter in a contest and called it "Betsy in the Morning".   The light was just right and my beautiful baby was so precious.  It is no wonder that I love grabbing my camera and snapping away.  

I have always had a wall of favorite photos aligning my stairs.  That means I get to look at them many times a day.  When my own kids were little, I got into scrap booking.  If it wasn't in the scrapbook, it didn't happen!  Then as an elementary teacher, I was always taking photos of those adorable children in my class.  At the end of the year we would have a bulletin board full of memories.  Then we would make - SCRAPBOOKS!!  It was about this time that I started learning more about the settings on the digital camera and my passion grew.  Fast forward a few years, and now I have the time to take that passion to the next level.  KARIN LERTORA PHOTOGRAPHY was formed! 

Now I have a grand daughter - and OH what an adorable subject to photograph.  I just follow her around with my camera in hand.  I guess I will be know as grandma with a camera!  One thing is for sure, she will have many special moments documented by grandma, and who knows, maybe she will have a passion for photography, too!
